Snow in Spring?

No joke, yesterday we got around 5 or 6 inches of snow! It started around 4 AM Saturday morning and didn't stop til 6 or 7 PM. It was ginormous flakes and there was thunder. Which I thought was weird cus usually thunder is associated with rain? Anyway, here's a picture of how much there was in my front yard:

And the funniest part? It's all completely melted now. It was like, 60 degrees all day so now it's all a wet, muddy mess.

Happy Birthday!

To my amazing aunt Neesie! Love you and hope you have a great day, :)

Texas pictures!

You can tell they both really wanted to take this picture.

Best cousin ever!

Me & Brody, :)

Andy really wanted to get the candy out.

Thanks again to everyone who helped me have an awesome Spring Break down there. It was so much fun to see y'all and spend time with everyone. I couldn't imagine a better trip!

Trips & Wishes

Spring Break is here! Exciting :)

Tomorrow is my 15th birthday! I'm stoked. It'll just be me, my mom, Jay, and my grandparents, but that's fine with me!

I've been doing laundry and packing for my Texas trip all day. I've never realized how much I need for 7 days, hah. I went to Barnes & Noble yesterday and spent my gift card Nanny gave me for Christmas on two books for the drive and if I have any downtime during the week. I swear if B&N had dorms, I'd live there! Tons of books, coffee, and quiet :)

Well, next time I post anything will most likely be when I'm in my favorite state! Hope everyone has a great start to their weeks!

Oh, I was doing my devotional today and I ran across this statement: "God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things." Being young, I always think that there is never a chance to make a small difference in my small town. That gives me the determination to go out and do what God has planned for me! Just though I'd share that :)

With Love,
The Almost Birthday Girl

Sing Sing Sing

Today was an absolutely GORGEOUS day. Almost 80 degrees! Come on summer!

I was excused from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd hour in school today to rehearse for my choir concert tonight. I didn't exactly want to since I have a test in 2nd hour tomorrow and a research paper on the Boston Red Sox due in 3rd hour next week...

As I said before, choir concert tonight! I guess I'm kinda excited, although my legs to get tired from standing after a while.

9 days til my birthday! Woohoo! & spring break needs to hurry up and get here already.

Til later,
Cayley :)

Happy Birthday Brandon!

Now, I'm not going to get too sappy here, but today is my cousin Brandon's birthday! He is an amazing role model and the closest thing I have to a big brother, which is pretty much what he is to me. I wish I could see him every day, but the miles from here to there are quite lengthy. He's accomplished so many things this past year and I'm proud of him.
I love you Brandon!

Love,
Cayley :)

Formal!

Last night was my first formal! It was SO much fun and I danced til I was sore. Kent wasn't able to go so I went with some friends. We met at Benali's (semi-fancy Italian restaurant) and ate beforehand. Boy, did I eat alot. Then we all crammed into one car to ride to the school. It was really loud, but fun. And I danced so much that my legs are still screaming from being sore. It was worth it, though! I didn't take my camera to the actual dance cuz I didn't want to carry it around, so apologies up front.

Me and Lauren! Ha, love her.

Audrey, Regina, and me. The lighting was TERRIBLE at the restaurant.

Megan, me, Audrey, Jacqueline, Kelsey, and Regina at Benali's.

Jacqueline, me, and Megan.

Just me :)

I just realized, 2 weeks until I turn 15!! That means Brandon is OLD. Haha, just kidding. Next year I'll be driving! Lord, that's a scary thought...

Spring Break is around the corner and I'm hoping to make my way down to Texas. Most likely by myself. I'm praying that I can!

Til next time,
Cayley :)
